features

The small, only up to 4.5 cm long fish is one of the most beautiful representatives of the American tetra. It has a greenish to reddish-brown basic color on which there is a metallic, bronze-colored sheen. The iris is red on top, behind the gill cover there is a copper-colored stain. The base of the tail has a dark brown to black band, which is supplemented by a gold-colored spot above. It is relatively short and tall (the height is 2.3 to 2.6 times included in the standard length ).
