Bjellånes, who started for the Henning Skilag , ran her first race in the Continental Cup in Hommelvik in February 2004 and finished 58th over 5 km classic. At the 2007 U23 World Championships in Tarvisio , she finished 30th in the sprint. She made her debut in the World Cup in March 2007 in Drammen , which she finished in 27th place in the sprint. In the 2007/08 season she came in the Scandinavian Cup four times in the top ten. She got her only victories in the Scandinavian Cup in the sprint in Riga and over 10 km classic in Jõulumäe . She took third place in the overall ranking of the Scandinavian Cup. In 2009 she became Norwegian champion together with Kari Vikhagen Gjeitnes in the team sprint. At the U23 World Championships in 2009 , she won the gold medal in the sprint. In the 2009/10 season she reached in Canmore and Drammen with fifth place in the sprint, her only top ten finishes in the World Cup, and at the end of the season she was 51st in the overall World Cup and 21st in the Sprint World Cup. At the Birkebeinerrennet and at the Norwegian Championships in 2010 with the relay she was second. The following year she won third place at the Norwegian Championships with the relay of Henning Skilag. She ran her last international race in March 2011 at the Birkebeinerrennet, which she finished in seventh place.
