Karin Albers

Karin Albers (* 1954 in Stolzenau ) is a German camerawoman , film director and producer .

Life

Albers studied from 1978 to 1983 at the CUEC Film School, Centro de Estudios Cinematográficos, University of Mexico City UNAM, specializing in camera and directing. In Germany she studied art at the Münster Art Academy and sociology at the University of Hanover .

Since 1992 she has headed the almafilm production, under whose name she sells short films , reports , documentaries for the public broadcasters Rias-TV , 3sat , Sender Freies Berlin , ARTE , NDR , WDR , MDR . Albers was the first woman behind the camera to work as a freelancer in the ZDF Studio Berlin and the NDR Studio Hanover.

Albers curates film series at the art association t27. and Atelierhof Werenzhain.
