Karin Felbermayr

Karin Felbermayr (* 1976 in Munich ) is a visual artist.

From 1998 to 2003 she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Olaf Metzel and the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts with János Sugár . From 2003 to 2005 she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Heimo Zobernig , where she passed her diploma with distinction. Since then she has lived and worked in Vienna and Berlin.

In 2002 she received the 2nd prize at the German Study Prize of the Körber Foundation on the subject of 'Bodycheck. How much body does a person need? '. In 2007 she won the Tisa von der Schulenburg Foundation award .
