Karin Magdalena Bergquist

Karin Magdalena Bergquist von Mirbach (born July 16, 1899 in Skara , † 1976 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish writer .

Life

Bergquist was the daughter of bank director Conrad Bergquist and Anna Gadde and attended the girls' school in Skara. After marrying the Austrian Count Friedrich von Mirbach, she settled in Stockholm. She went on study trips to Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy and other countries. Bergquist was the chairman of the Swedish Writers' Association.

She wrote novels , fairy tales , short stories , collections of poetry and cantatas , which, like some poems, were set to music by, for example, Ivar Widéen and Jacob Nyvall.
