The Karkinitska Bay ( Ukrainian Каркінітська затока ) is a bay between the northwest of the Crimean peninsula and Cherson Oblast on the Ukrainian mainland. The name derives from the earlier Greek settlement Kerkinitis (Κερκινίτης), it was located in the area of today's Evpatorija .
The eastern part of the bay at the Isthmus of Perekop is a Ramsar region of Ukraine . In the bay lies the island of Djarylhatsch and the peninsula Horkyj Kut ( Горький кут ) with the village of Chorly .
