Karl-August Siegel (born June 14, 1916 in Lübeck ; † October 8, 1990 in Osnabrück ) was auxiliary bishop in Osnabrück .

Life

After completing his theological and philosophical studies, Karl-August Siegel received the sacrament of ordination on March 19, 1947 . He then took on various pastoral tasks in the Diocese of Osnabrück before Pope Paul VI. on December 12, 1974 appointed titular bishop of Sinnipsa and auxiliary bishop in Osnabrück. He received his episcopal consecration on January 26, 1975, the Osnabrück diocesan bishop Helmut Hermann Wittler ; Co- consecrators were Curia Bishop Andrzej Maria Deskur and Auxiliary Bishop Johannes von Rudloff . Siegel was Episcopal Vicar for Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. He retired on November 18, 1988 due to illness and died on October 8, 1990. His grave is in the crypt of today's St. Mary's Cathedral in Hamburg.
