The Karl-Heine-Straße is a street in the west of Leipzig . It connects the district of Leipzig Zentrum-West with the districts of Plagwitz and Lindenau . It was named after the local politician and entrepreneur Karl Heine , who was committed to better transport connections between Plagwitz and Leipzig.

Karl-Heine-Strasse begins at the Plagwitz Bridge, which connects it to Käthe-Kollwitz-Strasse. It ends at the corner of Saalfelder Strasse and Spinnereistrasse. It runs in an east-west direction and bends slightly to the left in a south-westerly direction at the level of Birkenstrasse.

She will u. a. Crossed by Zschocherschen Strasse at the Felsenkeller level , which is an important traffic connection. It crosses the Karl-Heine Canal between the cross streets Helmholtzstrasse and Gießerstrasse .

At the level of Spinnereistraße, below the tracks of the Leipzig-Plagwitz S-Bahn station , it finally turns into Saalfelder Straße.
