A building that housed a McDonald's branch had to be demolished for the construction project for the “Sedelhöfe” quarter. Due to an existing lease of the fast food chain that runs until 2026, a temporary container was created in the pedestrian zone as a replacement during Czisch's time as finance mayor. The cost of the temporary arrangement in the amount of 1.3 million euros was borne by the city, but the owner is McDonald's.
