Karl-Heinrich Langspecht (* 17th December 1950 in Celle , † 26. July 2011 on the north beach ) was a German local politician of the CDU and member of the Parliament of Lower Saxony . He was married and had two children.

education and profession

After graduating from high school, he did his basic military service and then studied law at the University of Göttingen . From 1983 to 1988 he was cabinet advisor and personal advisor in the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forests, after which he worked until 1994 as head of department for federal and European affairs in the state chancellery. From 1994 to 2003 he was a consultant for the environment and agriculture in the CDU parliamentary group in Hanover .

politics

In 1984 Langspecht joined the CDU and was a member of the Celle district council from 2001 until his death . He had been a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament since 2003 , into which he moved with the direct mandate of the Bergen constituency . In the 2008 election he was able to win the mandate again. In the state parliament he was chairman of the committee for rural areas, nutrition, agriculture and consumer protection, a member of the inquiry commission "Demographic change - a challenge to a sustainable Lower Saxony" and a deputy member of the committee for legal and constitutional questions, in the committee for Environmental issues and in the committee preparing the election of the members of the State Court . Since 2008 he has been deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group, responsible for nutrition, agriculture, consumer protection and regional development, environment and climate protection. From 2004 until his death, Karl-Heinrich Langspecht was chairman of the CDU district association in Celle.
