Karl-Heinz Knobbe (born December 22, 1937 ; † before 1997) was a German football goalkeeper. He played with SC Aufbau Magdeburg in 1960 in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football .

Athletic career

In 1955, Karl-Heinz Knobbe was part of the junior team of the company sports association (BSG) Motor Oschersleben, which came fifth in the GDR championships. In 1958 he moved to the second-rate GDR league club SC Aufbau Magdeburg. There he was initially the second goalkeeper behind Hans-Georg Michalak and only appeared eight times in 26 league games this season. Even when SC Aufbau was promoted to the GDR league in 1959 , he couldn't get past Michalak and was only in goal in four point games. In the league season 1960 Knobbe was also only intended as a substitute goalkeeper and was used only once on the third match day in the encounter between SC structure - BSG progress Weissenfels (1: 1). For the season 1961/62 (return to the summer-spring season) Knobbe was only named as the third goalkeeper and was not used in the top division team. He then moved to the GDR league promoted Lok Halberstadt , where he played 19 of the 26 point games as a regular goalkeeper. Halberstadt did not manage to stay up, and Knobbe's career in higher-class football was over. He returned to Oschersleben, where he joined the third-rate district league team of Motor / Forward Oschersleben . With her he won the district soccer cup in 1965.
