Karl-Heinz Lust (born September 2, 1946 in Naunheim (Wetzlar) , district of Wetzlar since 1979 ; † September 9, 2009 in Lahnau , district of Waldgirmes ) was a German entrepreneur.

After studying physics at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen , Karl-Heinz Lust founded "Lust Antriebstechnik GmbH" (today "LTi DriVES") in 1971, of which he was a managing partner until his death. Today the company has a total of eight subsidiaries with, according to the company, 1,000 employees. His son Wolfgang Lust continues the LTi group as managing director of "LTi Holding".

Volunteering

Karl-Heinz Lust was President of the IHK Wetzlar from 1994 to 2007 and founding president of the merged IHK Lahn-Dill , of which he was Honorary President since 2008. From 2005 to 2009 he was a representative of the Central Hessian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in two terms on the board of the regional management association in Central Hesse . Since December 2008 he has been an honorary senator at the Giessen-Friedberg University of Applied Sciences. He was a member of the research union economy - science of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research . As a jury member in the “ProINNO” funding program of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology , he was chairman of the DIHK committee for industry and research.
