Karl-Heinz Rühle

Karl-Heinz Rühle (born July 12, 1942 in Tuttlingen ) is a German physician, university professor and specialist author.

Live and act

Rühle studied in Tübingen, Frankfurt and Heidelberg. He then worked as a medical assistant at the German Cancer Research Institute in Heidelberg. At the University of Ulm he received his doctorate in 1971 with a dissertation on pulmonary function studies with radioactive noble gases . 1980 followed his habilitation in Freiburg with the writing Lung Function Diagnostik in der Klinik . He has been researching sleep-related breathing disorders since 1982.

As a specialist in the field of sleep medicine , he is the chief physician for pneumology , allergology and sleep medicine at the Hagen-Ambrock Clinic , as well as a professor at the University of Witten / Herdecke . Rühle is the founder and member of the scientific advisory board of the North Rhine-Westphalian Society for Sleep Medicine and spokesman for the spiroergometry working group .
