Néstor Cerpa Cartolini (born August 14, 1953 in Lima ; † April 22, 1997 ibid) was a member and later commander of the Movimiento Revolucionario Túpac Amaru (MRTA) in Peru. His nickname was "Evaristo".

Cerpa was born in La Victoria , a working-class district of Lima. As a union leader, he was involved in the occupation and takeover of the Cromotex textile factory by its workers in December 1978. The labor dispute was ended bloody by the military in February 1979: five workers were shot and one policeman was killed. As the leader of the survivors, Cerpa organized a sit-in at the United Nations Communications Office in Lima.

The experience of the violent suppression of the industrial action led to the radicalization of Cerpa. He joined the MRTA and was involved in numerous campaigns in the 1980s. In 1996 he and 13 other comrades of the MRTA occupied the Japanese embassy in Lima to press MRTA fighters out of prisons and to force social improvements for the rural population of Peru. On April 22, 1997, the Peruvian military , supported by logistics from the US Delta Force , the British SAS and Israeli strategists , stormed the embassy and shot all the MRTA fighters, including Néstor Cerpa Cartolini.
