Karl-Heinz Stadtmüller (born January 30, 1953 in Berlin ; † September 13, 2018 in Berlin) was a German walker who started for the GDR in the 1970s and 1980s .

Career

On April 16, 1972, he set two world records in the Berlin Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark - 26,911 meters in the 2-hour walk and 2: 14: 45.6 hours in the 30,000-meter walk. In Lugano , Italy , Karl-Heinz Stadtmüller and the GDR team won the 1972 European Junior Cup on October 22nd.

Karl-Heinz Stadtmüller started at the Olympic Games in 1972, 1976 and 1980 as well as the European Athletics Championships in 1974 and 1978. He was GDR champion five times: in 1973, 1974 and 1980 in the 20-km street walking and in 1972 and 1980 in the 50-km Street walking.
