Karl-Peter Schwarz

Karl-Peter Schwarz (* 1952 in Villach , Carinthia ) is an Austrian journalist.

Schwarz studied history and Romance languages ​​at the University of Vienna .

From 1970 to 1976 Black was a Maoist and active in the Communist League .

Schwarz later became a journalist and worked for ORF as a foreign correspondent in Rome and Prague, in 1995 for the newspaper Die Woche and in 1996 for the Wirtschaftsblatt .

From 1996 to 2000, Schwarz was deputy editor-in-chief of the Austrian daily newspaper Die Presse . From 2000 to 2017 he worked again for the FAZ as a correspondent reporting on Austria, the Balkans and Eastern Europe. Today he is a columnist for the press and a freelance journalist.

In 2018, Schwarz wrote in the press about Ursula Stenzel's participation in a torchlight procession by the identities : "The scandal is not that Stenzel was at the rally, but that there was no other politician there."
