Karl-Reinhard Seehausen

Karl-Reinhard Seehausen (* in February 1943 in Leipzig ) is a German architect , monument protector and specialist author for building regulations and building permit procedures .

Career

Seehausen studied at the Technical University of Darmstadt Architecture and graduated in 1970 with the academic degree engineering graduate from. In 1973 he passed the 2nd state examination and in the same year became deputy head of the building supervision office in Kassel . In 1974 he set up the lower monument protection authority in Kassel as head of department , in 1977 he moved to the building supervision and monument protection office of the Schwalm-Eder district and was promoted to building director in 1978. In 1987 he moved to the district of Marburg-Biedenkopf with an additional role as head of the building construction department, in 1989 he was appointed chief building director , he held the position until his partial retirement in 2003.

From 1978 to 2003 he was chairman of the working group of leading municipal construction workers in North and Central Hesse. Until 2008, Seehausen was a representative of the German District Association in the “Law and Taxes” working group of the German National Committee for Monument Protection . Seehausen contributed to several amendments to the Hessian building code and the development of forms for building permit procedures.

Since 2003 he has been a freelance expert for building regulations, monument protection and building permit procedures as well as an expert on questions of public building law and the reasonableness of monument protection.
