Karl Andres (Ministerial Officer)

Karl Andres (born September 6, 1906 in Meisenheim , † 1996 in Bonn ) was a German ministerial official.

Career

Andres studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1925 he was reciprocated in the Corps Rhenania Heidelberg . In 1933/34 he worked in the Reich Ministry of Labor . From 1934 to 1945 he was the permanent deputy of the Reich trustee for work for Central Germany in Weimar and Magdeburg. After the founding of the Federal Republic of Germany, he was the Federal Ministry of Labor from 1953 to 1966 , initially head of Section IIIb 3 (new child benefit legislation including legal ordinances, wages for women, wages from an economic point of view) and from 1961 to 1966 head of subdivision IIb (unemployment insurance, unemployment benefits, child benefit , employment and social policy issues of defense and emergency service, alternative civilian service). In 1966 he moved to the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs , where he was Head of Department II (Family Policy) with the rank of Ministerial Director.
