Karl "Kalle" Anshelm Ansén (born July 26, 1887 in Stockholm , † July 20, 1959 in Morgongåva ) was a Swedish football player . The striker was one of the eleven players who played the Swedish national team's first international match in 1908 .

Career

Ansén played in the first two decades of the 20th century for the Allmänna Idrottsklubben, which was then based in Stockholm . In the national championship, which was held before the introduction of the Allsvenskan as a national league in cup form, he reached the final of the Svenska Mästerskapet for the first time with the club in 1911 . At the side of Claes Berg , Theodor Malm and the Dane Vilhelm Palme , he contributed with a 3-2 win over IFK Uppsala to the third win of the championship title in the club's history. Three years later he reached the final again with the team, with a 7-2 final win over Helsingborgs IF - Helge Ekroth , Ivar Svensson and Valfrid Gunnarsson each scored twice, and Berg was also one of the goalscorers - he won the second title. This was followed two years later by a 3-1 final win over local rivals Djurgårdens IF, the third title win.

Ansén also played in 17 games for the Swedish national team. He made his international debut in the national team's first international match, when they prevailed on July 12, 1908 with an 11: 3 win over the Norwegian national team . He replaced the originally planned Samuel Lindqvist from local rivals as a left winger. With the selection he also took part in the Olympic Games in 1908 and 1912 , while the team narrowly missed a medal in the bronze game against the Netherlands in 1908 after goals from Jops Reeman and Edu Snethlage due to a 2-0 defeat.
