Karl Anton Kreuter

Karl Anton Kreuter (born September 18, 1876 in Hauenstein , † September 1, 1965 in Oggersheim ) was a teacher, author and local researcher.

Of his 53 years of service as a teacher and rector, he spent 47 years in the Oggersheim district of Ludwigshafen am Rhein . During this time he researched tirelessly in the archives of Speyer , Karlsruhe and Munich .

The elementary school in the settlement “Notwende” (Gewanne “ Melm ” in the district of Oggersheim) was named “Karl-Kreuter-Schule” on December 20, 1965 by a resolution of the city council, later another street in this district was named after him.

Karl Kreuter died on September 1, 1965 in Oggersheim as a result of a traffic accident.
