Karl August Prince of Saxony Gessaphe
Karl August Prinz von Sachsen Gessaphe (* 1. January 1958 in Mexico DF as Karl August Afif ) is a German legal scholar .
Life
Karl August von Sachsen Gessaphe is the son of Maria Anna Princess von Sachsen (1929–2012), daughter of Friedrich Christian von Sachsen , and Roberto de Afif (1916–1978), who married in 1952.
Von Sachsen Gessaphe spent his school years from 1963 to 1975 in Mexico City , Hechingen and Munich . After graduating from high school in Munich, he studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich from 1975 to 1980 ; there he received his doctorate in 1986 and his habilitation in 1998 .
In 2003 von Sachsen Gessaphe accepted a professorship for civil law , civil procedural law , international private law and comparative law at the Fernuniversität Hagen . He is the chairman of the board of the German-Mexican Lawyers Association. Since his studies he has been a member of the Catholic student association K.St.V. Rheno-Bavaria Munich in the KV .
