Karl August von Gemmingen
Karl August von Gemmingen (born April 8, 1716 in Heilbronn ; † January 22, 1785 ) was Württemberg Chamberlain , Major General , Commander of the Ducal Body Corps and Knight of the Order of Charles .
Life
Karl August came from the Bürg-Presteneck branch of the Barons of Gemmingen and was a son of Eberhard von Gemmingen (1674–1741) from his first marriage to Eleonore Elisabetha von Gemmingen († 1717). He entered the Wuerttemberg military service early, where he was most recently major general and commandant of the ducal body corps.
