Karl Budding

Karl Johann Ferdinand Budding (born December 17, 1870 in Emmerich , † January 1945 in the Harz ) was a German administrative lawyer .

Life and work

After passing the state examination and subsequent clerkship seemed Budding 1904-1914 as a Councilor at the Regional Council of Bydgoszcz in the province of Posen . 1914–1917 he worked there as deputy district president. In 1917 he was appointed Deputy Reich Commissioner for import and export permits. In 1918/1919 he was a member of the German Armistice Commission as a representative of the Reich Economic Office . In 1920 he went to Cologne as a senior government councilor and deputy regional president . In 1922 he was appointed Reich and Prussian state representative to the Mixed Commission for Upper Silesia in Bytom .

In 1925 he was appointed regional president in Marienwerder in West Prussia . In this role, Budding worked tirelessly to find a solution to the question of the Polish corridor in the German sense.

In 1936 he was retired due to age.
