Karl Camphausen

Karl Camphausen (born December 12, 1896 in Mülheim an der Ruhr , † August 11, 1962 in Schötmar ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Camphausen learned the trade of a businessman after attending primary and secondary school. He took part in the First World War and after the end of the war belonged to a free corps . He was discharged from the army as a lieutenant in the reserve.

He joined the NSDAP on June 1, 1930. From August to October 1932 he was the local group leader of the Mülheim local group, then district leader in the Mülheim district, from April 1, 1935 full-time. In this function, he ran for election on the NSDAP's nomination at number 158 in the 1936 Reichstag election . However, Camphausem was not elected to the National Socialist Reichstag .

Camphausen was also councilor of the city of Mülheim an der Ruhr from 1933 to 1942, a member of the Rhenish Provincial Parliament in 1933 and a member of the Reichstag from January 20, 1938 to 1945 .

Camphausen was married and had five children. He was Protestant until he left the church in 1936.
