Karl Dietrich (politician, 1899)

Karl Dietrich (born April 27, 1899 in Besse ; † January 11, 1941 in Kassel ) was a German trade union secretary and politician ( SPD ).

Dietrich was the son of the bricklayer Adam Jakob Dietrich and his wife Anna Katharina nee Brück. He married Anna Marie Hermine Kesting on June 24, 1925 in Ober-Waroldern. He worked as a bricklayer until 1923 and in September 1923 became the full-time managing director of the building trade association in Korbach. In 1927 he was chairman of the local association of the SPD, the ADGB local committee and the Free Gymnastics Association in Korbach. From 1925 to 1929 he belonged to the three-person faction of the SPD in the Waldeck regional representation . With the seizure of power by the Nazis in 1933, he lost his job as a union secretary.
