Karl Fisslthaler (born November 11, 1846 in Schrems , Lower Austria ; † March 24, 1921 there ) was an Austrian politician ( CS ), farmer and postmaster. He was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament and member of the Austrian House of Representatives .

Life

Fisslthaler was born the son of the postmaster and farmer Josef Fisslthaler, his grandfather was Georg Fisslthaler . He attended the secondary school in Linz and subsequently graduated from the agricultural college in Hungarian Altenburg ( Mosonmagyaróvár ). From 1876 he worked as a farmer and postmaster in Schrems and retired in 1917. Between 1988 and 1919, Fisslthaler was politically active as a councilor in Schrems, was a member of the district council for poor people, a member of the district road committee and the district school council, and a member of the state culture council. In addition, Fisslthaler was involved as chairman of the agricultural casino and the bull killing commission, and in 1906 he co-founded the committee of the Lower Austrian Farmers' Union and its treasurer. He also acted as chairman of the supervisory board of the Niederösterreichische Genossenschafts-Zentralkasse.

Fisslthaler was elected to the Lower Austrian Landtag for the first time in 1902, to which he was a member from December 12, 1902 to May 4, 1919. Between 1902 and 1908 he was a member of the rural communities of Waidhofen an der Thaya etc. and between 1909 and 1915 a member of the rural communities of the judicial districts of Schrems, Litschau and Gmünd. Most recently he was a member of the provisional state parliament between November 1918 and May 1919. Fisslthaler ran in the Reichsrat election in 1907 in constituency 60 and prevailed with 69 percent in the first ballot. In the 1911 Reichsrat election he was able to defend his mandate again in the first ballot with 54 percent. It belonged to the Imperial Council during the XI. and XII legislative period between June 17, 1907 and November 12, 1918 and was a member of the club of the Christian Social Association and the Christian Social Association of German MPs. As a member of the Reichsrat, Fissltahler also belonged to the Provisional National Assembly after the collapse of the Habsburg Monarchy between October 21, 1918 and February 16, 1919 . In 1918 he was sent to the State Court .
