Karl Friedrich Heck in the specialist literature often only K. Heck (born March 24, 1874 in Handschuhsheim , † January 19, 1934 in Zell am Harmersbach ) was a Catholic priest , teacher and local researcher .

Life

After his ordination on July 1, 1897, he worked as a vicar in Durmersheim, Bräunlingen, Gengenbach and Empfingen. In 1901 he received a leave of absence to study natural sciences and mathematics at the University of Heidelberg . In 1906 he passed the state examination. He worked as a teaching assistant in Tauberbischofsheim, Oberkirch and Radolfszell. Here he published a research paper entitled Did St. Thomas Preach in India? . In 1912 he was a professor at the secondary school in Donaueschingen , in 1918 at the secondary school in Waldshut, at the latest here, he began an extensive activity as a local researcher. He led excavations around 1926 and 1928 while researching the Roman estate in Gurtweil . Paul Revellio later revised his work on it . In 1927 he retired, which he lived in Tiefenhäuser and provided pastoral duties. In 1933 he published the writings of the Klettgau and his name and (without a year) chats about his homeland . In 1934, after being very generous, he died penniless in the priest's home in Zell am Harmersbach.
