The Freiburg Diocesan Archive is a journal on the church and regional history of the Archdiocese of Freiburg and neighboring areas. It has been published since 1865 as a journal of the Church History Association for the Archdiocese of Freiburg .
Originally the title was the Freiburg Diocesan Archive. Organ of the ecclesiastical-historical association of the Archdiocese of Freiburg for history, antiquity and Christian art, taking into account the neighboring dioceses , since volume 31, 1909 it has had its current title Freiburg Diocesan Archive. Journal of the Church History Association for History, Christian Art, Antiquity and Literature of the Archdiocese of Freiburg with consideration of the neighboring dioceses .
A regular part of the Freiburg Diocesan Archive is the Necrologium Friburgense , the biographical directory of the deceased clergy of the Archdiocese of Freiburg.
