Karl Friedrich Rehfeld

Karl Friedrich Rehfeld (born November 2, 1735 in Stralsund , † January 23, 1794 in Greifswald ) was a German doctor and university professor.

Rehfeld first studied theology in Greifswald and Jena. In Jena he switched to medicine and received his doctorate in this subject in 1756. He then practiced for three years in a field hospital in Stralsund. Towards the end of the Pomeranian War Rehfeld went to Greifswald as an adjunct at the medical faculty. In 1764 he was appointed professor of medicine and city doctor in Greifswald.

He was a member of the Federation of Freemasons and belonged to the Greifswald lodge to the three griffins .
