Siegfried Cäso von Aeminga (born December 3, 1710 in Mölln (Mecklenburg) , † May 25, 1768 in Greifswald ) was a German legal scholar .

Life

Siegfried Cäso Aeminga was born as the son of the evangelical pastor (Johann) Christoph Aeminga in the east Mecklenburg village of Mölln. He gave up studying theology in order to study law at the universities of Greifswald and Halle from 1733 . He received his doctorate in Greifswald in 1741 , adjunct in 1743 and full professor at the law faculty in 1745. Between 1749 and 1766 he was rector of the university four times. He became assessor at the Greifswald Consistory in 1749 and its director in 1764 as the successor to Augustin von Balthasar . In 1750 or 1751 he was raised to the Swedish nobility.

He left his relatives a significant fortune, the interest of which, after their successor death, decreed in his will, went to the clergy of Greifswald Cathedral and as a scholarship to university students.
