Karl Geary
Karl John Geary (born May 31, 1972 in Dublin ) is an Irish-American actor and author.
Life
Karl Geary moved to the USA at the age of 15 without a work visa , and later won a green card in a lottery. He works as a script writer and as a film actor. In 2000, he played the role of Horatio in Michael Almereyda's Hamlet production . In 2014 he had a role in Jimmy's Hall directed by Ken Loach .
Geary was the tenant of a club in New York City . He married actress Laura Fraser in 2003 , they moved to Ireland in 2004 and to Glasgow in 2005 , where their daughter was born.
The rights for his first novel, Montpelier Parade , went to Harvill Secker at an auction in 2016 . After its publication in 2017, the novel was compared with the socially critical novel A Kestrel for a Knave by Barry Hines from 1968, which was filmed by Loach in 1969.
