Chicken-n-Beer (English for: " Chicken and Beer ") is the fourth solo album by the US rapper Ludacris . It was released on October 6, 2003 on the Disturbing tha Peace and Def Jam Recordings labels .

Ludacris himself and Chaka Zulu served as executive producers on the album . DJ Paul produced two songs on the album in collaboration with Juicy J , as did the producer duo DJ Nasty & LVM and the music producer Mo B. Dick. Other beats come from Kanye West , Erick Sermon , Ron Browz, Icedrake, Zukhan Bey, Black Key and Jook. The four skits were produced by T-Storm. In addition, the instrumentals of the bonus songs by Keith Mack and The Neptunes were contributed.
Cover design
The album cover shows Ludacris sitting at a table in a bar and biting a woman's leg. There are chicken wings and beer bottles on the table . In the picture on the left you can see a logo consisting of a white chicken with breasts and the words Chicken * n * Beer . Alcohol bottles at the bar and the glowing yellow lettering Beer can be seen in the background .
Guest Posts
In addition to Ludacris, other artists are represented on seven or eight songs on the album. The rapper Shawnna is involved in the songs Stand Up and P-Poppin ' , the latter also featuring the rapper Lil' Fate. The track We Got is a collaboration with rappers Chingy , I-20 and Tity Boi , and the rap duo Playaz Circle has a guest appearance on Eyebrows Down . Ludacris also works with rapper Snoop Dogg on Hoes in My Room , while he is supported by rapper Lil 'Flip on Screwed Up . In addition, have the rap duo 8Ball & MJG and the singer Carl Thomas a commentary on the song Hard Times , and the bonus track Southern Hospitality (Remix) are Ms. Dynamite involved and Maxwell D.

Chicken-n-Beer entered the German album charts at number 87 on October 20, 2003 and left the Top 100 the following week. In the United States, the album topped the charts and stayed in the top 200 for a total of 45 weeks, while in the United Kingdom it was 44th and stayed in the charts for seven weeks.
The singles were the songs Act a Fool (US # 32, 11 weeks), P-Poppin ' , Stand Up ( US # 1 , 28 weeks), Splash Waterfalls (US # 6, 21 weeks) and Diamond in the Back (US # 94, 3 weeks) uncoupled.

Chicken-n-Beer was awarded 2-time platinum in the United States for over 2.6 million units sold in 2004 . In the UK, the album received a gold record for more than 100,000 sales in 2013 . In addition, the number-one hit Stand Up in the USA was awarded gold for over 500,000 copies sold.
