The e-zine Laut.de rated Release Therapy with four out of a possible five points. From the point of view of the editor Valerie Timm, on the album the “ party clown Luda ” “is largely the serious, responsible father of a five-year-old daughter. “This is how Ludacris wrote Runaway Love because of his daughter Karma. Laut.de quotes from an interview: “ Having a daughter literally forced me to broaden my horizons and, especially when it comes to women, to become a better listener. “There are also political songs on Release Therapy , according to Timm . In Slap , for example, Ludacris criticizes the policies of then US President George W. Bush . In addition to these songs, there are also pieces on the album on which Ludacris " really lets the pig out ". These include Money Maker , Girls Gone Wild , The End Of The Night , Woozy, and Ultimate Satisfaction .
