Karl Gierlichs

Karl Gierlichs (born January 6, 1819 in Leichlingen ; died October 25, 1887 in Anrath ) was the Prussian district administrator in the Krefeld district in 1881 .

Life

The Catholic Karl Gierlich took over offices at the local political level at a young age. In 1844 he became mayor of the Anrath mayor and in 1868 in the same position in the neighboring Willich mayor in the Krefeld district. In addition to his job as a local school inspector , he also acted as the first district deputy in the Krefeld district and, after the early death of District Administrator Philipp Herberz, was in charge of administration from May to July 9, 1881 before the position was filled by Ludolf Freiherr von Uslar-Gleichen of the circle.
