Karl Gustafsson
Karl Johan Gustafsson (born September 16, 1888 in Köping ; † February 20, 1960 there ) was a Swedish football player .
career
Gustafsson played in Sweden for IFK Köping , Köpings IS and Djurgårdens IF , with whom he was Swedish champion several times. In 1913 he played briefly as an amateur player for Leicester City .
Gustafsson was also the Swedish national player 32 times and scored 22 goals. On July 12, 1908, he scored the first goal in history for Sweden in the 14th minute, and had already missed a penalty in the 5th minute. In the association's first international match, Norway was defeated 11: 3.
Gustafsson took part in the 1908 , 1912 , 1920 and 1924 Summer Olympics. The greatest success was winning the bronze medal in Paris in 1924.
