Karl Halbig

Karl Halbig (born June 12, 1914 in Fürth ; † October 22, 1987 in Nuremberg ) was a German hairdresser.

Halbig attended secondary school and vocational school, then made an apprenticeship as a hairdresser and passed the master's examination in hairdressing in 1938. In 1946 he took over his parents' hairdressing business in Fürth. From 1949 to 1964 he was head master of the hairdressing guild, from 1960 to 1964 district master craftsman in Fürth. After he was elected to the board in 1959 and vice-president in 1964, Halbig was president of the Chamber of Crafts for Middle Franconia from 1972 to 1987 .

From 1960 to 1978 he was a member of the Fürth city council. From January 1, 1976 until his death he was a member of the Bavarian Senate .
