Karl Heckmann (politician)
Karl Heckmann (born November 25, 1874 in Osnabrück , † August 20, 1947 in Gadderbaum , today Bielefeld ) was a miner and member of the German Reichstag .
Life
Heckmann attended elementary school. Since leaving school he had been employed in the mining industry and was seriously injured on November 20, 1911. He was released from military service because of a broken leg and had been a city councilor in Bochum since 1911 .
From 1912 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Arnsberg 5 Bochum , Gelsenkirchen , Hattingen , Herne and the National Liberal Party .
