Karl Heinz Dernoscheg (born July 22, 1959 in Graz ) is an Austrian entrepreneur, politician ( ÖVP ) and former member of the Austrian National Council and Federal Council .

education and profession

Karl Heinz Dernoscheg attended elementary school from 1965 to 1969 and then completed the Bundesgymnasium and Bundesrealgymnasium Kirchengasse in Graz until 1977 . He then studied law at the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz and graduated in 1982 with the academic degree Dr. iur. from. Dernoscheg did his military service in 1982 and from 1983 to 1984 attended the “Export Salesman” course at the University of Graz. Between 2004 and 2005 he completed postgraduate studies and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from California State University - Hayward .

Dernoscheg was a part-time trainer in adult education between 1978 and 1983 and an employee in adult education between 1983 and 1985. Dernoscheg has been an independent entrepreneur since 1985. In 1997 he was awarded the title of Commercial Councilor.

politics

Between 1985 and 1998 Dernoscheg was deputy district chairman of the Austrian Economic Association of Graz- Andritz and was elected district chairman in 1998. Since 1999 he has also been deputy city group chairman of the Austrian Economic Association of the City of Graz and was elected to the board of the Austrian Economic Association of the Styrian Regional Group in 2001. Since 1995 he has also been chairman of the foreign trade committee in the Styrian Chamber of Commerce since 1995.

Dernoscheg was a member of the Federal Council between May 5, 2004 and November 10, 2005. On November 15, 2005, he moved to the National Council, but was no longer able to move into the National Council after the 2006 National Council election.

Private

Dernoscheg is married and has two daughters and a son.
