Karl Hennig (engineer)

Karl Wilhelm Julius Hildebrandt Gustav Hennig (born June 2, 1890 in Schneidemühl , Pomerania , † April 29, 1973 in Hanover ) was a German engineer and university professor .

Life

Hennig had been a member of the Corps Rhenania Tübingen since 1908 . After graduating in 1914 in Aachen as a graduate engineer, he completed his active military service in the First World War from 1914 to 1916 . In 1917 he became a works assistant at Friedrich Krupp AG in Essen , and in 1920 in Aachen to become Dr.-Ing. doctorate and appointed senior engineer in the same year.

In 1921 he became deputy director of operations at the Alexanderwerk A. vd Nahmer AG in Remscheid . In 1922 Hennig became a board member of Stahlwerk Werner AG in Erkrath and in 1923 a board member of N. V. Vereenigde Emballagefabrieken in Amsterdam ( Netherlands ).

In 1923/1924 he became associate professor for business administration at the Technical University of Hanover , in 1949 full professor and in 1951 director of studies at the Leibniz Academy in Hanover .

Hennig was also a councilor in Hanover from 1946 and 1948 to 1952 .
