Karl Hofmann (theologian)

Karl Hofmann (born June 15, 1900 in Straubing , † January 13, 1954 in Tübingen ) was a German Catholic theologian and canon lawyer.

Career

After his habilitation, Hofmann was a private lecturer in canon law at the University of Munich . From 1939 he taught as a lecturer at the Philosophical-Theological University of Bamberg . In the same year he became an extraordinary, 1945 extraordinary professor at the Philosophical-Theological University of Dillingen . In 1946 he followed a call to the chair of canon law and church legal history at the University of Tübingen .

He was a member of the Catholic student associations KDStV Aenania Munich and AV Guestfalia Tübingen .
