Karl Johannes Aymanns

Karl Johannes Aymanns (born January 31, 1948 in Mannheim ) is a German pharmacist and manager . Until 2009 he was Vice President at Pfizer Germany.

Life

After receiving his doctorate in chemistry in 1974 with the dissertation The Reaction of Metaldehyde with Indoles and a short time at BASF , he started at Pfizer Germany in 1977 and rose to Vice President Regional Leader PGM Northern Europe and Managing Director of Pfizer Deutschland GmbH. After moving from Pfizer Germany to Berlin, Aymanns retired in 2009. One of his last official acts was the liquidation of the Pfizer plant in Frankfurt-Höchst, which he had bought two years earlier for 1.3 billion euros.

Aymanns was also on the board of the German Pharmacists' Association (DAV).

Karl Johannes Aymanns is married and has two sons.
