Karl Kern (politician)
Karl Kern (born May 18, 1900 in Kirchhausen ; † October 14, 1974 in Heilbronn ) was a German CDU politician and a member of the German Bundestag .
Life
After attending elementary school, Kern had been a worker at NSU engine works since 1920 . He had already joined the union in 1917 when he started working for another company. Kern was a co-founder of the Christian association of metal workers in Neckarsulm, until 1933 he was a member of the municipal council in Kirchhausen. At the NSU works he was a member of the works council from 1929 to 1934 and then again from 1945, from 1948 as deputy chairman.
politics
Kern joined the CDU in 1949, and had been a member of the Kirchhausen municipal council again since 1948. From 1948 he was also a member of the Heilbronn district council. In the first legislative period from 1949 to 1953 he was a member of the German Bundestag . He moved in with a mandate from the CDU supplementary list Württemberg-Baden and was a full member of the Parliament's Committee for Transport and the Committee for Post and Telecommunications.
