history

Karl Krämer (1898–1982) initially owned the Academic Publishing House Dr. Fritz Wedekind & Co. There were avant-garde publications on the modern architecture elite of the time, such as works by Le Corbusier , Richard Döcker , Willi Baumeister , Adolf Behne and Jan Tschichold as well as publications in collaboration with the Deutscher Werkbund. The political developments of the time forced Karl Krämer to close this publishing house and to order the destruction of the books. With the establishment of his new company he was able to work again as a publisher and specialist bookseller.
