Karl Krisch (born January 12, 1891 in Vienna ; † December 27, 1959 there ) was an Austrian trade union secretary and politician ( SPÖ ). Krisch was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1945 to 1949 .

Life

Krisch attended five classes of elementary school and then switched to the citizen school . He also attended the advanced training school and learned the trade of miller, sawmill and machine fitter. Krisch was on the move and worked in the brewery of the city of Vienna .

Union and politics

He worked from 1919 to 1934 as secretary of the Central Association of Food and Beverage Workers in Austria and was in political custody in 1937. After the Second World War, Krisch was first secretary of the Austrian Trade Union Confederation in 1945 and was promoted to President of the Vienna Chamber of Labor .

In the National Council, Krisch represented the SPÖ from December 19, 1945 to November 8, 1949.

He is buried in the urn grove of the Simmering fire hall (Section 8, Ring 3, Gr. 7, No. 11).
