Karl Kugel (born July 26, 1921 ) is a former German soccer player .

The goalkeeper came from VfL Kirchheim / Teck to SSV Reutlingen 05 . After Reutlingen's regular goalkeeper Heiner Schober injured himself in the penultimate league game of SSV in the league season 1954/55 , Ball's competitor Hans Klein was used against FSV Frankfurt in the last league game of SSV Reutlingen this season . When SSV Reutlingen, with the ball became runner-up in the Oberliga Süd in 1955, lost 3-0 to SV Sodingen in their first game in the qualifying round of the 1955 German championship , Kugel was again a competitor for injured goalkeeper Heiner Schober Hans Klein used. In the subsequent 1: 2 defeat in the second qualifying round against Wormatia Worms , Reutlingen coach Erwin Ammer relied on Karl Kugel to replace the injured Heiner Schober.
