Heiner Schober

Heiner Schober (actually Heinz Schober ; * July 25, 1927 , † December 14, 2009 ) was a German football player . He played in the position of goalkeeper.

Life

Heiner Schober, who came to SSV Reutlingen 05 from the Turnerbund Reutlingen , initially played as a defender and center runner. After he replaced the missing goalkeeper in a game of the fourth team of SSV Reutlingen, he recommended himself in this position for the first team of SSV. 1949 played Heiner Schober in the group south of the Oberliga Südwest for the first time in a competitive game for the first team of SSV Reutlingen. After the championship in the south-west German group south in the league season 1949/50 and the south-west German runner-up after a defeat against 1. FC Kaiserslautern , the Reutlingers played in the 0-1 defeat of Reutlingen in the final round of the German championship in 1950, Schober's competitor Bernhard Braun .

After the following association change of SSV Reutlingen from the Oberliga Südwest to Oberliga Süd , Schober completed 22 league games for SSV in the 1950/51 season and thus 10 games more than Bernhard Braun. At the end of the season he rose with the SSV in the II. Division . The 1953/54 season ended for Heiner Schober and his Reutlingers with promotion to the Oberliga Süd.

In the league season 1954/55 Schober broke against BC Augsburg on April 24, 1955 in the last home game of SSV Reutlingen, up to which he had played the entire season, through a collision with his opponent Georg Platzer shortly before the end of the first half the arm. After the actual field player Willi Meßmer took his place in goal, the injured Schober contributed to the 1-0 home win of SSV Reutlingen in this game as a winger for the rest of the season. Although SSV Reutlingen lost the last game of the season against FSV Frankfurt without their injured goalkeeper Schober , Heiner Schober was runner-up with SSV in the Oberliga Süd. In the subsequent defeats of his Reutlingers in the qualifying round of the final round for the German championship in 1955 against SV Sodingen and Wormatia Worms , Schober did not play again because of his arm break.

In the subsequent league season , Schober made his comeback on matchday 1 and made 25 season appearances . This season ended for Schober and his Reutlingers with relegation. In the II. Division 1956/57 Heiner Schober contributed in 26 league games to the direct promotion of his team to the Oberliga Süd. On April 18, 1957, Schober clashed with striker Hans Buzek in a friendly against Vienna Wien . Because of the injury he suffered, Heiner Schober had to have an operation on his knee. The SSV Reutlingen signed due to the serious injury of his previous goalkeeper Schober Karl Bögelein .

On November 30, 1958, Heiner Schober was used against 1. FC Nuremberg by the SSV for the first time after his injury in a league game. His 9th use in the 1958/59 season on February 22, 1959 against Kickers Offenbach was Schobers last use in the Oberliga Süd. In total, he played for SSV Reutlingen in 85 games in this league. In the 1965/66 season Heiner Schober returned to the goal of the first team of SSV Reutlingen for two games in the then second-rate Regionalliga Süd after a broken leg of the then Reutlingen goalkeeper Theo Diegelmann .
