Karl Leinbach

Karl Leinbach (born November 9, 1919 in Gladenbach ; † June 15, 2005 in Bad Endbach ) was a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Karl Leinbach worked in the postal service after primary school. He served as a soldier in World War II , was seriously wounded and spent two years in captivity.

After the war he went back to work at the post office and became a released works council and member of the postal union.

Karl Leinbach was married and has three children.

politics

Karl Leinbach had been a member of the SPD since 1946. Since 1966 he was district chairman of his party. In terms of local politics, he had been a city councilor in Gladenbach since 1952. Between 1968 and 1972, and again from 1985, he was mayor of the city council. Since 1956, Leinbach was a member of the district council of the Biedenkopf district and led the SPD parliamentary group there. From 1968 to 1974 he was the first district member. With the formation of the Marburg-Biedenkopf district , he became a member of the district council.

From February 1, 1971 to February 17, 1987 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament. In 1983 he was the senior president .

He was a member of the Federal Assembly in 1974, 1979 and 1984 .
