Karl Ludwig von Kleist

Karl Ludwig Baron von Kleist (born March 19, 1794 in Mitau ; † November 5, 1869 ibid) was a manor from Courland and district administrator .

Life

Karl Ludwig von Kleist studied law first in Berlin, then from 1814 at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1814 he became a member of the Corps Curonia Heidelberg. When the original fraternity was founded in Jena on June 12, 1815, he and his brother Wilhelm were elected to the committee. After completing his studies, he returned to Courland and became the owner of the Groß Plönen manor.

Kleist was the district administrator of the Courland, bank officer of the Courland credit association and district judge. Since 1828 he was married to Albertine von Schlippenbach (1805–1874). The couple had a son and three daughters.
