Karl Müller-Franconia

Karl Müller-Franken (* 1873 ; † February 9, 1927 in Berlin ) was a German economist and politician .

Life

Karl Müller-Franken studied at the University of Munich and joined the Corps Agronomia Munich here . Later, with the conclusion of the Black Cartel in 1921, he also became a member of the RSC-Corps Saxonia-Berlin. After graduating, he initially worked as a writer. As secretary of the Hansabund he founded and headed the committee for the free food industry. The Reich Association of German Milk Traders Associations appointed him its economic adviser and later its in-house counsel.

In his function as secretary of the Hansabund, he met Hermann Drewitz and Franz Holzamer and, with them, was one of the founders of the economic party in 1920 . On July 12, 1920 he was elected to the Berlin city council and in 1921 took over the chairmanship of the economic party. On December 7, 1924, he was elected to the Prussian state parliament as a member of the Berlin constituency. As chairman of the transport committee of the state parliament, he advocated modern transport and recognized the importance of air transport early on. He enjoyed cross-party recognition on commercial and medium-sized issues. He was a board member of the Prussian City Council and as such promoted the creation of the new city order. He died of complications from a head flu.
