Karl Markt (OS 2012)

Karl Markt (born March 8, 1980 in Zams ) is an Austrian mountain bike - racer and multiple state champion.

Career

Markt started mountain biking at the age of 15.

In 2005 and again in 2007 he was national champion in the mountain bike marathon . Today Karl Markt starts as a cyclist mainly in the cross country mountain bike discipline and won the national championship title in 2011. He has been a member of the UCI MTB Team Felt Ötztal X-Bionic since 2012 . This year Karl Markt took part in the Olympic Summer Games in London for the Austrian team together with Elisabeth Osl and Alexander Gehbauer and finished in 20th place.
